A couple of videos from Vocal Point’s trip to Hawaii have made their way to Youtube, and we wanted to make sure everyone was able to see them.
First up, posted by Mathew Sotogi, we have this one:
It opens with a nice little jam-session-style Footloose, with Conlon and Scoot now handling Hunsaker and Rossface’s old parts. Then at 2:50 we get “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg” with choreography. And Landon’s still the best at bringing it in the boy band department.
But then a confluence of seemingly minor things meet together to devastate us. First, Keith is now stage right at 3:58 when the guys group together. Next, the video was not shot by Papa Sterling, so we don’t have full-group videography at that very moment. Finally, in the new formation, Gigantor Trevor is in front of Rerun. What does all of this add up to? We can’t tell if Kevin is still doing his “Werkin’ It” move.
Readers, you remember that, right? Let us remind you with the tallest gif ever:
Please, oh please, tell us this is still happening.
At the end of the video, the guys wave goodbye to their audience, and with its third appearance, we can now identify a full-on Scoot go-to move. Much like the LSR or McButters’ taking a bite out of life, it appears that when the situation presents itself, Shattuck will default to the two-arms-sky-high wave.
…the TASH? We like it. 🙂 🙂
And we’re throwing in this video by Brenn Nakamitsu, as well.
Oh sweet goodness. We’re going to wait until we (hopefully) get a bit clearer / closer shot video to fully delve into this pile o’ awesome (originally done by Axis of Awesome, of course — side note: use caution if you Youtube the original). But our gut reaction? We kind of just want to hear VP sing all of all of those songs. All the time. Hey, we can dream. And the leis for ties is a nice touch.
So, from what we can tell, Hawaii has been pretty awesome. We can’t wait to hear more. And Robert, if you didn’t take pictures of the souvenirs you would have bought us, we’ll forgive you. Because the photo Trevor instagrammed on the VP facebook page of you guys in the gray polos and royal blue skinny pants was all the gift these bloggers ever needed.
