So a few days ago we asked everyone make our decisions for us and go check out our latest poll and vote on new TMtP-themed shirts. We even put one new design in the shop as a promise of things to come.
Y’all have spoken, and we have listened and attempted to design some shirts that we hope you’ll find as hilarious as we do.
So, new to the TMtP Spreadshirt shop we have the following shirts!
First up, we have one that just cracks us up because we took something silly and made it even more ridiculous.
Oh, it’s so true! Being a human IS hard! This shirt will warn those around you of your struggle, so maybe it won’t be a surprise if your limbs splay randomly or you suddenly start talking about bell bottoms and “the hair.” Oh, and as a bonus, for a super-serving of ridiculousness, we made the print glow-in-the-dark. Yep, that way if you get lost at night, your less humanly-challenged friends can find you more easily. We’re always thinking ahead. You’re welcome.
Next up we have a shirt in honor of everyone’s favorite Muppety bass:
Now, here’s how this shirt came about: we were making the shirt, and as we were saying aloud “Elmo sings bass” the next line of “Kevin sings tenor” just sort of came to us. Perhaps it was the whole Robert / low voice thing that made our brains go to a Johnny Cash song. Anyways, we were suddenly way excited about this shirt. Then we shared the idea with a McFriend and we were all like “Isn’t that HILARIOUS?” And he was all “????” And then we were all 😯 😯 And that’s when we realized that apparently not everyone has the same Johnny Cash love that we do. Which… really… that’s not okay. Everyone should love (or at least recognize) Johnny Cash. So consider this Johnny Cash Appreciation 101:
The shirt makes more sense now, huh?
Anyway, onto our third design we’re introducing to the shop today!
Now, we’ve decided to have multiple options available for the color of this t-shirt. We wanted ALL of our favorites to be able to express their individuality while flaunting their status as a T & C favorite! The writing on the shirt will always be white, so we’d strongly suggest sticking with the darker shirts. This was, by far, the concept that got the most votes to be created and put into the shop. We’re totally excited to see who ends up getting and wearing one. So, if you’re pretty sure that that you’re in good blog graces, snag yourself one of these and wear it with pride!
However, if you maybe want to rack up a few more blog points before declaring yourself a favorite, never fear, we’ve got your back, boo.
Okay, this shirt isn’t for the faint of heart. Here’s the deal: If you buy and wear this shirt in public, and can provide photographic proof of yourself explaining this shirt and the blog to a stranger, you get 1,000,000 TMtP points. Yep, a million blog points. Oh, what would you do with them all!? And FYI, the writing on this shirt? “Blue shimmer.” For a little extra pizazz.
Alright, if you want to go check them out on Spreadshirt, here’s the link once more to our store. Also, here’s the post where we talk about our experience buying a test run of shirts and discuss things like fit and such.
If the shirt you voted for didn’t make it this round, let us know you still want it by going back to the poll and voting for it some more. We picked the top four designs for this round, but we’re not ruling out the possibility of designing a few more shirts in the next couple of weeks. 🙂
Don’t forget, the Spreadshirt promo code for free shipping with a $30 purchase ends Tuesday, May 8th. The code is MOTHERSDAY12, and you can just enter it in at checkout in order to get the free shipping.
